Does any one out there have any special tips on drying and curing boxwood? I have a couple on my property, one about 6 inch diameter, and the others that are about 4 inch diameter. They are very closely tied to a bid incense cedar that has to come down to make room for the shop.... My arborist said it would be impossible to save the boxwood because the root systems are probably very interwoven with the cedar.

It is a very hard and very fine grained hardwood and will surely split like crazy (fruitwoods) if not dried very slowly. Think 2 coats of endseal.

Thanks Robert. I would think quartering it, turning cylinders, rounding over the edges, and then the end seal. If I get energetic, maybe hollow some box forms and end seal the edges too. I am familiar with the wood, but have never had any.
