Delta DP-400 Depth Stop Broken

My Delta DP-400 drill press has a broken depth stop control. I have never liked the system, and now I really don't! Has anyone out there repaired this problem?

Woodsmith, or ShopNotes made a similar depth control in one issue.They used Baltic Birch to make a collar to fit around area just above the chuck where existing stop collar was. I prefer to use my stop with a "foot" facing down and contacting actual work piece. Mostly use stop for drilling cup holes for hinges. Google "Home made depth stop for drill press," and see what pops up.

It was Woodsmith. The plans are still for sale at Woodsmith Plans for $4.95. I just bought a set about a month ago, and built one to replace the coil-type depth stop on my old drill press.
