Adding Just ClearVue Cyclone to 3HP 2 Stage DC

I've been looking to add an Oneida Super Dust Deputy XL cyclone or a ClearVue cyclone to my Grizzly 3 HP 2 stage dust collector. I've found several posts on the Internet of the SDD XL installations but not of the ClearVue. Anyone know of a ClearVue project like this?

About the only difference between the 2 cyclones, is you can watch the clearvue. The ssdxl is a long cone cyclone that should work well if you have enough cfm's with your blower.

Ah! only the cyclone itself, I get it now. The Clearvue due to its very efficient dust separation is very lossy in flow, all cyclone are lossy but apparently the CV is worse than others.

Have you tried calling Clearvue and asking them? Their support is fantastic.

I would be concerned that the 3HP can't pull enough air for the CV cyclone to work as designed. I think my CV impeller is 16" with a 5hp motor.
