Potpourri Dish w/ Cast Pewter Lid

This was a fun project. Bought an assortment of pewter lids online and exotic wood blanks. The wood blanks I found locally were 4" x 4" x almost 2" so didn't know if it would work out but I received helpful informating here on how to use glue blocks. The size ended up being perfect (only one coat of teak oil on it now):

Very nice Mike. I cut a little lip on the top rim so my covers sit flush. Either way works fine. These are fun projects to make.

Thanks Red. May try to recess on next one. Mine had three nibs on the bottom to align it.
