Hi

I have an Inca Jointer, not sure of the model number as it has lost its plate.

We are struggling to set the knife height. There are 2 sets of screw holes in the drum, the larger ones to tighten the blades are fine. However, the smaller ones where you would expect to find adjustment screws are empty, in addition there doesnt seem to be a thread to take any screws.

any thoughts?

thanks

Bonjour Sarah,

Would it be possible to provide a couple of picture of the drum, with a view to better understand the layout? This would help people provide you with suggestions for addressing the problem.

Some heads use springs below the knives and a setting jig that holds the knife in position while you nip it up. I suspect you have one of those. Cheers

If I remember correctly there were Allen screws(instead of springs) in the head to set the height of the knifes (Have not had an Inca planer for 15 yrs)
