Wow, what a beautiful saw!

I like the way they pack it for shipping, too.

I'l be interested to hear how it works.

Really nice gloat! The mess thing, don't feel bad, I have been rearainging for years. I've been thinking of something more than my jet 14, let us know how you like it.

Dave, very nice gloat! I was impressed with the over quality of my little 10” Rikon BS. The 10” looks very much like yours, except yours is a lot bigger and meaner looking.

Congrats!

That is a fine gloat, David. I don't know about any mess. That looks pretty normal to me. :D

If it's not a mess it's not a shop.

David.
Nice gloat, and nice Bandsaw.
I have the same Bandsaw, as do a few others here on the 'creek. I've been pretty happy with mine.
I've been using a Lennox 1", 2-3 vari pitch blade for resawing with good results. I only use it for resawing, so I can't comment on other blade sizes.
That packaging was "robust", wasn't it?

Congrats, David!:) Like I've said before, initial reports by folks who already have one, have been quite positive. It's a substantial machine at a great price point. I'm sure you'll find many uses for it, not the least of which might be for cutting up some bulk blanks for some bowls! (Hint, hint!):D :)

Yep. The crating on my bandsaw has been my only disappointment from MiniMax. My BS arrived unscathed but I think it was more luck than brains.

Thanks for all the response and comments. BS was delivered last wed to the RR MOW shop just down the alley from me. They lifted it off the truck and just drove down the alley to my shop. The saw is 76" tall but I didn't think about the pallet. I have a 7'x9' garadge door and we were abel to get it into the garadge by pushing up on the garadge door while sliding the saw with the forklift. Closed the garadge door and uncrated the saw.
I was working alone and suddenly realised there was no way I was going to lift it off the pallet by myself. Took a break and started reading the manual. First thing I read was that there is a threaded hole in the top of the saw and a large I-bolt is supplied for lifting the saw. I put a 4X4 across the rafters in the garadge and used a come along to lift off the pallet. I then used 1" dowls to roll it into the shop.
Havn't had a chance to use the saw yet but will update when I get blades as the one that came with the saw leaves somthing to be desired.
