thanks for the comments.
Yes John, ATBQ is association of woodturner in Québec.
Thanks Steve, the process is simple but long, (30 Hours)
'the Wood is butternut. First i Turin the outside and inside.
After, I carve the base and the ring and I connecta base and ring, and I keep 3 for the top.
For not standing, I burn the piece for give a texture went I Colors the piece.
I Colors whit dry brushing technique.


After, I turn flower and burn for give a flower.

Et voilà....

Philippe - sounds like a lot of steps went into creating the first piece but it was well worth it! Very different and has that 'How did he do that?' question when viewing it. Looking forward to seeing what else you create!
