Hello everyone,

I got home around 5pm today and nuked a couple of cabbage rolls for dinner. At 6pm I headed out to the garage to start galooing up some

doors.

Somehow I managed to get 14 doors glued up before 8pm.

Good thing there were only 14 doors as I used every clamp I have.

One special door and 4 glass doors and I am done making doors for my parents kitchen!

Then onto crown and kickplate...

David.

Every neighbourhood has one, in mine, I'm him.

David I know what you mean about "enough clamps"! The door panels really look nice. How are you going to finish them?

Lookin' good, David! That's a lot of work for a relatively short period of time.:) I'm anxious to see the rest of the project! BTW, "cabbage rolls"??? I assume you're a one-man shop???:D (Sorry...couldn't resist!):D

Those look really nice David. What kind of style and rail cutters and panel raiser are you using?

David, it looks like a ton of work there, but I'm sure it will pay off bigtime. Looks great so far. Keep it up!

David I know what you mean about "enough clamps"!Actually, he's got a couple of dozen more.
Problem is, last time he saw them they were on the floor just downwind from the planer.

did you use space balls for spacing the pannels?

Yes, My parents kitchen has been over two years in the making. I have a very time consuming full time job, doing a large kitchen job a few hours at a time has been quite hard.

I don't have any spray equipment so I am sending them out to a local cabinet shop that does very good work for decent prices. I am the sales manager for a very large woodworking machinery dealer in Southwestern Ontario so I know most of the shop guys in our area.

LOML is a great cook, but my tools are in my folks garage as I don't have a place here where I can work. I head over to my folks place once or twice a week after my day job to work on the kitchen. My folks are in China for a month right now so I just dug through the freezer to see what I could Nuke :).

Those look really nice David. What kind of style and rail cutters and panel raiser are you using?

I am using a CMT standard quarter round profile for the rail and stile. Mom wanted a flat panel, and since I hate how rattlie (sp?) 1/4" ply doors sound, I am using an about 7/16" solid hard maple panel raised on the back with a cove cutter. It looks like a flat panel on the front, but with the raise on the back, it is flush with the R&S on the back. It is much more costly with the solid panel, but I like it much more.

Akshully, I had *just* enough k-body type clamps for the 14 doors, I even had to break out the 80" ones for the last door. :)

No I did not. I don't quite get the use for them as a properly fitting panel does not require them.

Thanks everyone for your comments, I will keep updating as I progress...

David.
