Has anyone worked with Prefinished Birch Plywood? I am going to use it for kitchen cabinet carcasses. The finish looks outstanding and I'm told it is extremely durable. My question is assembly. I would assume that dado contruction is the only option due to the plywood being sealed and finished. Thanks

Frank,
You are correct that using this material for drawer/cabinet carcasses is a breeze and they are durable. I have found that assembly using dados is the strongest method, not only due to the pre-finish, but also as it provides stability and more surface for the joint. Hope this helps.

Joe,
Do you have trouble maring the finish while cutting the dados, etc?

That would definitely be my concern!:(

I have used it to build a pantry cabinet for a friend. I used pre-finished maple. It was expensive, but worth it. Sliding it across the table saw and running my router across it didn not mar the finish.
