Picked up a 43" two head Danckaert wide belt sander today.
Little crusty from sitting for 8 years, but it's in good shape otherwise.

Has electronic eye tracking.

Get pictures tomorrow when I unload it. Little bit heavy, lots of cast iron.

Figured it was worth a 100.00 gamble.

Trappist beer, chocolate, waffles, (oddly) French fries and sanders, some of the things Belgium does really well.

Right place, right time. Why you have to go to every auction you can.

Good score Darcy, at that price you probably won't go far wrong, especially if you fetch it yourself. We've had a sale last year in Montreal with the exact same machine. It went for $650. Looked like a really interesting sander to me, and it was in good condition. I'm into Timesaver/AEM's and so is my friend.

Hope you get it running!

All she needs is a little TLC.

As for auctions: I'd have to be in the cattle business or willing to drive 200+ miles every time. I am waiting for my competitor to close shop - he's 73 and already had a x3 bypass.

Apparently I live not to far from Darcy I need to start going to these auctions he speaks of I guess.

So that was in some farmer's woodshop? Hate to see my woodshop auctioned off. Not enough farmers into woodworking.

It's off my trailer, it's heavier than I thought. Has to be pushing 7k pounds.

He had a wood shop, metal shop, etc. Wood stuff was more to play with I think.

All info I found says approximately 4000kg.

That's 8800 pounds.

That's heavy. A comparable Timesavers sander is about 5500 pounds.

Bacon cures cancer. I'll buy him doughnuts.
