I would like to know what grease power feeder owners are using and would a auto store bought grease gun do the job? I don't feel like plopping down extra $$$ for a run of the mill grease gun and small tube of grease from Delta. I know the gear oil is regular 90w that can be purchased locally.

I've never greased one. I always look at the zerk and think about it, but never do anything.
It's a pretty light duty application, even on a big feeder. The rpm is very low and the load is low for the size of bearing. Any good grease will be adequate I would think. I'm partial to using synthetic in most applications.

Wheel bearing grease is fine. Not much of a load compared to a car. Cheers
