I recently received a new Axminster Evolution SK114 chuck and have to say it's the purdiest chuck on my rack and looks well made too. It's made out of stainless steel so that might be a benefit when I get around to turning green wood. The outside of the jaw inserts are rounded for safety and moves smoother than my Oneway Stronghold or even my Vicmarc VM120. Can't wait to give it a go.

Never tried one BUT when I watch videos from England and see them in use I drool at the apparent quality and finish!

Seems to me there used to be a rule spoken about from time to time on this forum..........no pics, didn't happen! :D Whatever happened to that? Maybe some of our newer forum participants did not know that rule..........hummm........pics are in order, Steve! ;)

Thanks Brian but Roger is correct, the rule is a pic is required otherwise it didn't happen. Here's a couple of pics of the Axminster SK114 sitting on a good sized chunk of Cocobolo or so says the friend that gave it to me.

Yep, I have a couple sets of large (16") button jaws and some O'Donnell stuff. I'll probably post a pic of the button jaws with a few questions about their use in another post.
