Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has modified a coffin style block, smoother type plane to carry a toothed blade? Has anyone modified a ready hardened blade for toothing? I have been looking for a toothed blade plane locally but we do not have enough of them at flea markets.
I saw Paul Sellers' video on making a poor man's toothing plane from a gents saw. It is kind of how I have made a float, by taping 15 hecksaw blades together:) But I would like to build a proper toothed plane.
I can buy one of course but it is less satisfying.
