Well, last wed my new bandsaw was delivered. Had it shipped to Red River Valley & Western RR MOW shop just down the alley from me. They picked it off the truck with there fork lift and drove it down the alley and put it into my shop.http://www.sawmillcreek.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=24808&d=1129494451

Me three, or am I number 4?? I tried both Netscape and IE, get the invalid attachment specified notice. It does say to notify the admin if it was a valid link. Has anyone done that? Jim.

I still can't see it in the link. I guess you have to be a good standing member with over 10,000 posts to have the priviledge to see it.

So, David, what is it?

David,
Can't see it, but I figure it's got to be at least a 20 incher because you needed a forklift to load it. Laguna? Grizzly? Aggi? SCM? Help me out here!

Gee, the guy gloats and then disappears! Regardless, hope you enjoy that BS. I'm thinking it should give you some great service and help out a lot in prepping some larger turning blanks!:)

BTW guys, if I'm not mistaken, I believe David was in for one of those Rikon 17"-er, I think! From what I've seen/heard, a nice machine and probably about the most bang for your buck today!:)

Sorry about the pics, or lack there of. The saw is the new 18" RIKON. Don't know what is going on with the pics but I will try again when I get home from work.

Ooooops...My bad. Tried to cheat you out of an inch there, Dave! Anyhow, congrats on the new saw and good luck getting some pics put up. Good thing our "real" Picture Cops are nowhere to be found! :D (Hey, and one of them lives not that far from you, either!!!):)

I've been helping a friend do a little research and that Rikon is a good looking BS. A definite good buy. I think he is going to get it as well. I love bandsaws. I actually have a 14" Rikon coming to supplement my Mini Max MM16 for tigher curve work. Can never have too many.

Enjoy,

John

Oops. That would be a Gloating Ghost.

Sorry David. Can't help but have fun at your expense. I looked at the Rikon last winter and liked it, especially that double miter slot. I ultimately chose the Powermatic 14 with riser block, but only because I got a heckuva deal on it due to dings and dents from being on a showroom floor.
