I ordered 10 feet of Oneida flex hose and just added 2 more ports to my dust collection setup so I need to order more. However, Oneida has already taken 2.5 weeks to get their flex hose to me and it's still not here. In the day and age of 2 day shipping, I think that's quite ridiculous.

Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with the 6" Clearvue flex hose? I have to order blast gates from them so was going to add some hose to it if it's good. The Oneida came highly recommended but I can't wait another 3 weeks.

Or is there any other brand comparable that will fit 6" sewer PVC that's not $200 for 10 or 15 feet? I need about 20 feet total for 3 or 4 small 5 foot runs.

Joe, I've have 4" and 6" clear hose from ClearVue and the stuff I got is excellent. Very tough. So tough it is not easy to stretch it over a connection but I found that warming the end with a heat gun made it easier. I really like their hose clamps with the stainless steel bands too - unlike the cheap wire clamps I bought elsewhere these have a "bridge" that fits over the wire so the clamp is tight against the flex tubing all the way around.

BTW, I used short pieces of S&D PVC pipe to make connections as needed for different blast gates and fittings. Sometimes I cut a short segment out of the circumference of a ring and glued it inside another piece or fitting to make a smaller diameter where needed.

Joe,

Wynn Environmental also has very high quality hose. Their PVC 6" wire reinforced is $92 + shipping for 25 feet.

Thanks guys, how about how smooth the inside is? I know they really harp on getting the smoothest inside flex pipe you can find for higher CFM.

We've had a great experience with air cleaning specialists from MO. I don't know if it's ok to post a link so I won't, but I'm sure you can find them with a google search. Very helpful and prompt. We got tired of waiting for Oneida's help. (3 weeks now on a simple ducting design and quote). Air cleaning specialists got us the design and quote in three hours.

I love the DC we bought from oneida but anything that requires their help seems like a challenge.

John, posting a link is fine, I do it all the time and have yet to incur a moderator's wrath. Joe - you can spend a lot of time trying to find the best hose. In the end, if you keep your flex as short as possible (ie just a few feet) the difference between the smoothest and the not so smooth isn't going to impact you significantly. ClearVue and Wynn are both good sources.

Andy, I am keeping the flex hose to a maximum of 5 feet for 3 machines on wheels that have to pull way out. The others will only be 3 feet. So not a lot of flex hose but just want good stuff. I think I'm going to go with Clearvue since I'm already ordering the gates from them and have had a couple of good reviews on here.

Thanks guys.

Joe, you might try blastgateco dot com. Since your pieces are short, check their cut pieces.
