Hi all,

Getting ready to order our ducting and we're unsure on how to select the proper hose terminations for the machines.

We are going to do quick clamp ducting all the way to a blast gate drop, but don't know which material to run from the blast gate to the machine.

Anti static clear poly is 4x the cost of clear PVC (that has static or needs to be grounded) and 2x the cost of opaque (not clear) poly.

What do you think?

John, do a search in this section of the Creek on static in dust collection and you'll see you don't have to use anything more than PVC or ground it (here's one recent thread http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?251293-Bad-Science-in-Latest-Wood-Magazine). Personally I use the spiral polyurethane as its tougher but my choice has nothing to do with the static qualities

If you use pvc, it will have a static charge at first, but that will quickly go away as the pipe gets dust on it. No need for ground wires of any kind.
