This morning after work I hauled the sideboard over to my sister's...tomorrow I'll carry the table over. I was rather looking forward to it, because she has a nice place and I could get some good 'in setting' pics. So I get there, excited, and she tells me outside that the dining room is a mess because they've decided to rip out the carpet and stain the concrete. :( The concrete that has holes all over it where the carpet tack strips were nailed in...and glue squigglies where the pad was glued down...and the beautiful glue troweling marks where the 3x6 entry linoleum was. She expects they'll be done in a month or so.
Unsolicited advice to anyone considering this...it'd prolly better to do it before one of the nation's largest homebuilders puts in other coverings. :rolleyes:
