Anyone tried the Woodsmith 6" and 12" rule set they are promoting?
They don't provide many details.

They look good and I was tempted but I have several hook rules and I prefer that style rule

Can you tell me what the thickness is?

They are 1/32" thick. They are very stiff. They are pleasant to use.

Got one as a promo. Nice enough. I have a few Lee Valley pocket rules (http://www.leevalley.com/us/wood/page.aspx?p=32566&cat=1,43513) about the shop that I prefer. The Woodsmith rule is fine but, lives in the desk drawer for those small measuring tasks in the office.

I cant answer on the woodsmiths. But I bought the LV hook rules (http://www.leevalley.com/us/wood/page.aspx?p=72020&cat=1,43513)last year and they are my go to rules - even over my expensive and very nice Woodpecker rules. They are about 1/32 thick. What I like most about them is the way the scales are set up. On one side, zero is next to the hook. On the other side, zero is on the opposite end of the hook. (I know there's a technical term for this but cannot recall it.) I find this extremely helpful. (Edit: I just looked up the Woodsmith rule and it has this same feature!)

I also like the fact that it's ruled in sixteenths of an inch. (YMMV) I can read it more easily and I can certainly eyeball it down to 1/32. And geez, the price is right too. I wish they made a 24".

I have a set of the Woodsmith rules. I rarely ever use the 12" rule, but the 6" is rapidly becoming my friend.
