I recently traded a piece of spalted liquid amber for a piece of narra from another turner in San Antonio. The bowl is 5" in diameter. It was a bit prone to tear out so I used some sanding sealer and did some wet sanding with a wax and mineral oil mixture. Finished with wax. Many thanks to John K Jordan for coaching me on how to take better photos.

That's a beautiful wood. I like the shape of the bowl too, the double lip is cool looking. Looks like a bowl nested in a bowl. Nice photography! I need to work on that myself.

Very pretty bowl David.
The only criticism I can think of is that it's missing ice cream. Maybe some French vanilla drizzled with chocolate syrup and some strawberries.
Oh...and some whipped cream.
It tickles me how much woodturners love their photography. It goes hand in hand.

Really nice bowl and I had never heard Paduak called Narra. Guess I need to get out in the world more. :)
