I have been asked my a local technology group to come up with tags for their laptops. They don't want the the laser to engrave the laptop itself, but tags that would be difficult to remove once applied. Has anyone done anything like this, and what product did you use.

Thanks,
Rich

Gravograph sells 2 products that should work well for lapop tags,

"Flexilase", several colors, and is only .01" thick -- link to website info: http://www.gravograph.us/products-and-consumables/consumables-and-engraving-materials/plastic-materials-laser-mechanical-engraving/flexilase

And if that's not thin enough for you, they have "Stickalase" which is only .004" thick-- http://www.gravograph.us/products-and-consumables/consumables-and-engraving-materials/plastic-materials-laser-mechanical-engraving/stickalase

I don't use these in regular use, although my NH rep has given me samples, and I've made a couple of Stickalase labels which worked well for me. Other outlets, Laserbits, Johnsons, Eng's Outlet etc may have something similar..

Do a search for asset tags. Adhesive used is best you can get. I dont think you want a brass tag screwed onto laptop.

This is a good company. http://www.seton.com/asset-management/asset-tags.html
