Hello,

I have an old AC gear motor that I'd like to wire up and use. The wiring diagram on the motor is scratched off. The nameplate data is unrecognizable. I'm having a hard time figuring out what wire goes where. 5 wires are coming out of the motor: Black, Blue, Red, Yellow, & White.

The motor looks just like the LEESON here. http://www.clrwtr.com/PDF/LEESON/LEESON-AC-Gearmotors.pdf

Any ideas?

Thanks for any help in advance,

Using a multimeter set on lowest resistance range, start by measuring the resistance for every combination of wires, that will give a starting point.

Also, any motor shop should be able to tell you, maybe for free.
