I have a client interested in having me re-finish some furniture that was sprayed with a two-part conversion varnish 15 years ago. Does anyone have any experience re-finishing this stuff? I'm not sure about how to go about it, and suspect it's more of a challenge than I would like to accept right now.

Thanks,
Kurt

Kurt, recoating over conversion varnish will not in itself be a problem. It is a catalysed product and will be hard and a good base to coat over. The result will depend on what you are putting on top of it. You will need to sand it uniformly to give it a good key and follow the new coating procedures. Cheers

Thanks for the reply Wayne. I am planning on using a wipe-on polyurethane after sanding the current finish.
