I have 240 V three phase in my shop. Do I wire this motor according to the low or high voltage?

If it is the low voltage are 6, 5 and 4 wire simply nutted together? (And so the rest are paired and connected to the incoming line).

If it is the high voltage 3, 2 and 1 are connected to the incoming line, and the rest are twisted together as shown and nutted together?

thanks! all help much appreciated. 352921 352922

You've got it. That's all there is to it.

For 240V operation the motor should be wired according to the "Low Voltage" diagram. As Bob stated, your interpretation of the diagrams is correct. For low voltage you will need four wire nuts, each of them connecting three wires.

FWIW I installed a RPC last year and the install instructions specifically said not to use wire nuts but to use Blackburn type split bolt connectors.

That said, the other 15 3 phase motors in my shop are all wired with wire nuts.

I do think it is worth at least taping the wire nuts against vibration.
