Jim those are realy BEEE-UUU-TI-FUL
Dig you turn em green ?
There are a number of apple growers not to far from me and I've been thinking of making a field trip to see if I can get some free wood.
I wonder how orange tree would turn??;)

Now those are nice looking bowls Jimbo! I have a small piece of apple that I have been hesitant to turn. I hope the grain and color in my piece is as good as that. Now where are the apples? I see the bowls......:p ;)

More great pieces. You've got to be getting tired with all you've been turning.

My thoughts. too, Jim.

Jim must have cloned himself to get this much work out and still have time to post it here.

Very nice as usual, Jim.

That wood and the form you used is wonderful. How do you treat the punky stuff so you get it so darn smooth? I have been trying Wally's mixture of white glue and water. Works pretty good but if you have to take more than a couple of shavings off after you do it, you can get down to punk again in a hurry!

Those are sweet Jim. The contrasting colors really reach out and grab you! These babies should get snatched right up.

Thanks all :)
Don, I turn all my bowls from green wood then soak them in DNA.

Carole, I just used a fresh sharpend gouge for the finishing tangent cuts and sand.

Man Jim... I get tired of typing this ;) - more great bowls! I have the hardest trouble with punky wood when I'm sanding. It doesn't take much to sand too much of it away for me. Looks like you had NO problems!

Thanks for the pictures!

Jim, you are wearing me out typing, ha, ha. I am enjoying viewing your work. I do not have access to apple so a vicarious trip on the Creek is nice. This wood is beautiful as well as your work.
