How would you section this for a lathe with 10" swing?

Well..... Abraham Lincoln said "Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe." I think maybe you should sharpen your axe or better yet, your chainsaw. Then, section away!

Buy a bigger lathe... maybe a 100' swing.

You want to cut up that guy and turn him on a lathe? That's awful!

I wish the pic showed the entire trunk.
The photographer couldn’t back up any more…
(I had to Google around and check if it was a photochop)
Seriously, thats an awesome tree - I’d love to see it in person.
A few years ago we went to Sequoia National park.
Same problem, too big to photograph.
Very humbling standing beside a 2000 year old tree.
I’m very happy that they have survived

I think I heard that the baobab is good for storing water, but soft as a sponge....

I just know I see a burl way up in the top--any volunteers to climb.
