We had a contractor redo the closet in our MB a few years back. The shelf is now sagging a little and tipping forward as it pulls away from the wall. The metal bracket extends with a hook to support the rod. The shelf is 3/4" particle board.

I plan on removing everything from the closet and pulling it back in place. How would be the best way to reinforce this so it cannot pull loose again.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

I lucked out in that my situation occurred over a stud. I just added two pocket holes using the Kreg Mini (https://www.walmart.com/ip/Kreg-Mini-Jig-MKJ/14227339?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=897&adid=22222222227016699090&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=52590664031&wl4=pla-41443506289&wl5=9031488&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=112354565&wl11=online&wl12=14227339&wl13=&veh=sem)on the "no show" side without even taking things apart and screwed it back tight against the wall.

When I redid our closet I mounted cleats to the side walls of the closet that the shelf rests on and made the shelf out of 3/4" hardwood ply and attached one-by-two edging to both the front and back of the shelf to prevent sagging in the middle. I don't remember the exact dimensions but it's a wide closet. At lease five feet. Been that way for about seven years with no problems.

I had a very similar situation - amazing how much clothing my wief accumulates. I added an additional suppport to either side on the one sagging, attaching them to a stud with reasonable visual spacing between supports to further disdribute the load.
PS Our closet was as filled as yours, so I finally had the wife "selectively" remove those she hadn't used in two years.
