Hey Guys,
I just had that hoarder/ flea market haggler come over me for reasons I can't explain. I bought a '85 Fay and Egan 511B for a price I rather not say. Long story short, I really don'nt know why I bought it.......This saw has been cased in cosmoline since it was purchased and has never been used, or turned on for that matter. Only thing its missing is the throat. Any idea of what this would be valued at. I see some of the prices online, but knowing this has never been used is pretty rare. Feel like I might trip over an Oliver model 20 on my way to work tomorrow
Appreciate any advice or opinions.
Thanks,
Brian

You can still see the cosmoline all over the tools

Ah, you bought the on down in southern New Mexico. If I were younger and had a little more room I would've nabbed it 2 months ago. He was selling it for a song.

I really like the tilt mechanism seeing how you really need to tilt that little thing from time to time.

Nice looking saw, but what is the purpose of the gray knee knocker cylinder that sticks out to the side in photo #2?

That's the dust collector connection. It's long because a table extension is normally above it. These saws usually came with a large sweep elbow to put on the end of that pipe.

Awesome grab!!! Very nice. I bet that was about the last year this machine was made, maybe the last year Fay and Egan was in business. Looks like it had a Biesemeyer fence on it as well.

I actually believe it was made by the company that had bought them out, but didn't last very long at all. Can't remember the company name though.

Right F&E went out of business in the late 70s. I think the company that made this one was Woolfeck or Wulfeck, somthing like that.
