Am I the only woodworker with a thing for push screwdrivers?
I have two Millers Falls, a Klein, and a Stanley.
Just curious if any others were as ??? as I am. :)

I think Steven Newman likes them, I am not a huge fan. I love the wood handled style like the Grace Gunsmithing screwdrivers from Lee valley.

I like them and use them. I like push drills even more, and use them a LOT.
I have two of the great big size, but use them almost never; the mid-size are most useful to me.

I have a Yankee 41Y push drill to pre-drill screw holes. I stumbled across a new old stock set of bits for it.

Garrett Wade sells a repro for about $62 on sale now. Comes with a set of 2 fluted drill bits.
I've been eyeballing this for a year and my just pull the trigger.............

No you are not. I had one from the days before VSR drill motors, I was given a couple, I picked up some at the fleamarket, there're cheap, so I had some. Then I bought a patternmakers chest at a estate sale. He had a thing for Yankees , too.

I like mine. I have an old Goodell Pratt push drill that I like as well.

Not me. Never cared for them.
Not knocking those who like them, just not my tool of choice.

Now pray tell, what in the world is the point of that?
The owner of a dozen power drills asked....:D

Depends on how much "hp" you need to turn a screw..

There is also a small Stanley H133a lurking about, along with 3 or 4 push drills. I even made a few bits to use in the Yankees..

Made from old hex bits. I think I can find some uses for these.

I rate the Yankee push drills along side of the Bell Sytems Brace that I have. :)
