Best way for removing protective covering??

Going through some OLD inventory I came across some 12" X 24" Rowmark which is several years old!!
Upon trying to remove the clear protective plastic covering I was only able to remove it in small "chunks"!
This stuff would take hours to remove at this rate---so, any easy way to remove it?
I ask the collective community. Thanx!

I'm with Chris. I put min in a heat press at 100-120 degress and that tends to help release the old paper and plastic covers... If that doesn't work.... you have scrap.

I have had to release the paper film from some old sheets and was advised by my supplier to wipe over with petrol and when it dries the film will release.
It works for the paper film. Safety is an issue. Best to coat hands with barrier cream, use rag with petrol and then wash hands and reapply barrier cream.

Having worked 20 years in petroleum maintenance industry, i wish i had used barrier cream then :(
