Hi all,

I'm a member of a non-profit community maker space in Southampton UK. http://www.somakeit.org.uk/

We've got ourselves a second hand Epilog Legend 36ext which is fantastic, however the lens is rather scratched up, though it does still work O.K.

Epilog lenses seem to come mounted in a little Epilog specific metal bracket. Since we're a bit nervous about messing with our one and only lens we'd really like a spare bracket. Does anyone have a totally trashed lens with Epilog Legend bracket they'd send our way? Then we can experiment with mounting e-bay special lenses on it.

Many thanks,
James Southern

I'd like to thank all the past contributors here, the information in this forum has been invaluable in getting ourselves up and running with a laser cheers!

Hi James,
The lens is held in with a square hold down plate and 4 tiny Allen screws. Remove the screws (1/16" allen wrench, I think) and the the hold down plate can be removed along with the lens. There is an O-ring in there as well that keeps the lens nice and snug, don't loose that. Also when you remove bracket from gantry, be careful not to loose the tiny o-ring in at the air assist passage!
Spare bracket will be quite pricey and there is no need for one. Hope that helps...
