I have a stanley no 98 plane and it has stress cracks runing from top to bottom of knob across grain of knob. Does anyone know how I can repair cracks or at least keep cracks from getting bigger? Please let me know what product to use and how to.

Hi James
I would use Superglue. It will flow well deep into the cracks. This should stop any further cracking. Filling the cracks (with a mix of epoxy and a matching tint), or leaving them as is, is then up to you.
