How would you make a ZTI on a table saw for the blade at 45 degrees? Or for that matter, any angle greater than 0.

Thanks
Jim

What I did is I made the insert lowered the blade & set it at what angle you want then raise the blade so it cuts through the new insert..

What Jay said is the way I do it, likely the only way.

This is what I do too.

I would say that depends on your saw's trunion.
If your saw won't cut through at a preset angle you might have to raise the blade up to the desired height with the standard insert in place, make a zero clearance cut in a sacrificial panel (1'4" MDF or so) and affix it to the tablesaw top with double sided tape.

I'm pretty sure just raising the blade let's say for a 45 deg angle wouldn't end up with what you want. I suspect you'd have to made a template for the desired angle, put your ZCI insert on top of the template and they raise the saw blade from 0 deg. The template could be a block of MDF with the angle required. Too lazy to figure out the geometry. Or am I missing something?

I think you mean zero clearance insert...That's how I do mine.

Don't forget to lock your fence over the insert to keep it down.

And don't forget to take off your riving knife first! DAMHIKT. Not my proudest moment...with a new saw no less.
