Is this driftwood?
What about for the little houses? would blocks of balsa wood work?

I'm guessing the shtick is that all materials are as found discards. Including the distressed finishes.

And some weathered barnwood, some rotting landscaping timbers, and one section cut from a tree with the center rotted away and partially healed. Her statement: "I love the idea of using unremarkable found objects and turning them into one-off sculptures. I’m inspired by my surroundings, but mostly I’m inspired by the materials I find."

She should come visit my barn and farm but it would be a long drive.

Off topic here, but I'll be the odd man out and say "YUCK!" But I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder - I went to her Etsy store and there's all sorts of ooohing and awwing. I couldnt find a pricetag - probably overlooked a button - but if somebody gifted me with one of these, I'd have to fake appreciation. As soon as they left, it would go into the "regift box" or the burn bin.
