Specifically about HF clamps, if there is a difference in brands.
Anyone have a good idea how to keep them attached?
Either a duct tape band or perhaps some double stick tape?
As I think about it same problem with my pipe clamps. They are the red ones, Bessey I think.

Clarify keeping them attached. Never had any "detachment" issues with Jorgenson clamps.

What about epoxy or superglue?

Get a can of contact adhesive in a spray form unless you already have some. I use it on all my kregs and Jorgensen gear clamps.

Hot glue. Rare earth magnets glued to a wooden pad.

I have a problem with the HF clamp pads also. Seem to loose them on a regular bases. Thinking hot glue or the spray adhesive. I like that idea. HF sells a replacement package but they are more expensive than buying a new clamp. Go figure.

Think I'll try the spray adhesive first., and the hot glue next. Tks for the ideas.

I use those rubber pads for my pipe clamps and have never had them come off.

Update: used hot glue as that fit the project better than the spray contact adhesive - less messy and no waiting time to assemble. Used the fix on some other Jorgy ratchet clamps too.

I've found that inverting/reversing the pads on many brands keeps the pads in place quite well.
