What to use to adhere a hard board (Masonite) panel on MDF sealed with shellac

I want to put piece of hard board (Masonite) on top of a piece of MDF I sealed with shellac. Will construction adhesive work successfully for this lamination?

George I would use contact cement it would lay flatter

+1 on using contact cement. Not only will it lay flatter, as John said, it also won't require clamping.

Why did you shellac the MDF or was it already shellac I would suggest scuff up the shellac and try a small test
