Sanding belts question

This is a general question, although I have a specific problem. Anyway here's the issue:
Was using my Worksharp with knife attachment to sharpen some kitchen knives. The honing belt (band) came apart where the tape holds the 45 degree cuts together. These are only one inch wide bands.

What I need to know is what kind of tape is generally used to connect sanding belts?

I suspect it isn't something I'm gonna pick up at Lowe's?
I have ordered a few new bands for the Worksharp, but would like to tape this one back together as it's pretty new yet. Thanks.

i have used super glue on the existing tab of tape to reassemble the band.

The regular sanding belts usually look like the fiberglass reinforced packaging tape. Worth a shot.
