As stated in another thread I am looking for a new router lift. Turns out that my existing plunge router is incomaptible with most lifts so I guess I will get a new lift AND router. After all, it IS Christsmas.:D.
I am intrigued by the MCLS lift because the adjustments are made from a crank at the side of the table rather than above the table.

Anyone have any comments or experience with this lift(and router).

Thanks

Fred

My Woodpecker is at the side, and I like it.
Everything I have bought at MCLS has been junk; but I haven't shopped there in 5 years, so maybe things have changed. You feel lucky?

Yea Id skip MCLS too and go with the Woodpeckers if you want a side lift crank.

Woodpecker doesn't offer the side lift crank any more (Sidewinder). You may be able to find one through ebay or Craigslist. I have the Sidewinder, and love it.

There is also the new Jessem Mast-R-Lift Excel II that has a side control but it is an entire table top solution: LINK (http://www.jessemdirect.com/Mast_R_Lift_Excel_II_p/02202.htm)
