Thoughts on cutting board wood

Picked up some pieces of wenge and white limba and was going to make some end grain cutting boards for Christmas gifts. I haven't used white limba before though, any thoughts on using it for a cutting board?

I have made some bowls out of Black Limba and it turns like butter....very soft.....Limba has a Janka hardness rating of 490 compared to Maple which is 1450... I would think it is too soft for use in a cutting board.....but that's just my opinion..
