I can't take credit/blame (however you wanna look at it) for the finish, the customer wanted it unfinished, so he did it himself. He also added the rope detail to it. But here are the pics:

Keith, it turned out lovely. I could think of other things to do with that rope, but it's a child's bed. I'm sure they'll think of something to do with it :D At least I know mine would. :p
