Before anyone gets the idea that I write with a lot of firepower, it's part of the piston group from a Vickers MF bent axis hydraulic motor. I've had it almost 40 years.

Only partly seen on the left is my high intensity lamp. I had it screwed to the back of my bed headboard and the lamp twisted around so I could read in bed. I did that when I was 14. I still use it just about every day but now, incredibly enough, on a desk.

Explains why the house looks like it does, I never seem to get rid of anything!

Edit: in the garage, the pencil holder is about any horizontal surface that's out of sight.
