One of my favorites from back in the day. I stood in line with him at "Builders Emporium", a home improvement store in North Hollywood in the early 70's. He was buying some doors. He was unpretentious and friendly.
He had a unique style.

Oh no, one of my favorites too. I still have vinyl. Yes, a unique style and voice.

RIP Leon. What a career and influence he had on so many listeners and musicians.

This video is one of my favorite performances from any artist, and I think it captures Leon well and at his peak.

I didn't know. I hate to hear that. He was a talented and versatile performer. My favorite album is a country record called "Hank's Back", which sounds to me like a tribute to Hank Williams.
