In a recent thread about the new Lee Valley bevel up planes, I made a comment something to the effect that the bevel up smoother handled like a sports car due to it's low center of gravity. The image stuck with me, and I thought some might find a visual illustration amusing, so here it is.

Before you are, in order (hopefully) : Representing the planes, a Spiers infill smoother and the Veritas Bevel Up Smoother.

Representing the automobiles, a 1947 Cheverolet sedan, and a McLaren M8.

If the infill is represented by the Chevy... I'll take the 4 door every single time. Your'e really comparing apples to oranges here but I think most people will get it.
