Waterlox finish on Spectraply - Effects?

I'm wondering if Waterlox Original High Gloss Sealer and Finish effects spectraply or will it hold up the same as any other wood finish?

I don't turn Spectraply, but if you want to preserve the bright colors, I wouldn't recommend Waterlox. It is a dark amber finish and it also is relatively slow to dry as "varnish" finishes go. Great product for furniture, etc. and very durable, but I would prefer a more clear product for Spectraply.
