Good woodworking tool shops in the US?

Hi guys,

sorry to post two new threads at the same time but they are not related at all so I didn't feel like combining them. I have my woodshop here in Sweden but next week I will be going to the US (Los Angeles) for business. I have some spare time and would like to "power shop" in woodworking tool stores. You have a wonderful choice of tools in the US. Can some US guys maybe suggest good stores for woodworking tools (in addition to the usual Home Depot), in particular those that are likely to be found in the LA area?

"Near" LA depends on where you are in LA. The two that come to mind first are Rockler and Woodcraft. Both have websites (rockler.com and woodcraft.com) and sell on line, so you can check with them to find the store nearest to where you will be. They carry slightly different items so a visit to each would be worthwhile if you can get to them.

Don't forget that we in the US use a different electrial power system than you do in Sweden. If you are just looking, no problem. If you are contemplating purchasing you may need to look into a power transformer to run the tool when you get it back home.
