A couple of different pieces for me

These are a little different from what I usually turn. Turned from a mulberry crotch. A shallow bowl shape and a platter. I couldn't find a way to rotate the two photos on the stand from my phone. 346140346141346142346143346144

What species of wood? Looks like sumac.

Nice pieces good finish. What did you use? Hard to buff the natural edge work. Dan

The platter has a coat of boiled Lindseed oil followed with rattle can satin deft. The shallow bowl is just the deft.
