Thanks for posting this Robert! I was just wondering yesterday how to clean those. A 20 gauge shotgun brush should do just fine.

When you remove the brush make sure you give it a twist otherwise the bristle on the brush will hold the it in and keep it from pulling out.

I made one today. I like the way it works! I definitely have to give it the twist, as you recommend.

Well, that's clever isnt it? But they're selling 'em pretty dear at almost $23. I bought a 20 gauge shotgun cleaning brush (brass) for under $3 and made a handle from scrap oak. Epoxied the brush into the handle and I'm "cookin with gas" as my Dad always says.

But thanks for the lead and the new source for lathe stuff, Ken. I'm going browing there right now......

That is exactly why I looked for an alternate the $$ and as a wood turner why not!
