So here are the picture from the other part of the Oregon Myrtle slab that I got from Reed Gray AKA Robo Hippy.

Being just 2.5 inches high it was a bit off a challenge to get a smooth curve to the foot, but it’s not too bad I’d think.

I had to make another picture of the bottom, as the other picture did get washed out with the sunlight on the background, this gives at least a good look at the bottom side.

Anyway any and all comments are welcome :)

Wow. I like that even more than the other. I think you got the curve just right. And again, that wood is gorgeous.

Bet it will look swell with a chocolate cake on top. (But they'll have to put a doiley underneath the cake!)

Very nice Leo. I like the detail. Just curious, what are you using to sign your work?

The footed platter. Sounds like the name of a restaurant! I love this form. Thanks.

Thanks for your kind comment Fred :D, yes a dolly woud be a good idea, being concave it can also hold other stuff, like fruit etc. :)

Thanks Bill for the comment :), I have an transformer from an old radar where I use 2 of the taps from to use a hot wire pen, as I was to cheap to pay for a pyrography set
