I'm new to this, in fact this is my first message and I'm not sure who I'm messaging but I'm hoping someone can help guide me to see if this Delta Unisw is working. Just bought it from a local gentleman but I didn't have the correct outlet to get it going. He assured me that it did and it looks in good condition so I took his word. I only paid $375. I ran some 12/2 wire to a double pole 15 amp breaker and bought me a 20 amp outlet. I'm no electrician but I am getting power to my outlet. Just not 100% sure if my wireing to the motor and switch are correctly ran cause I'm not getting anything when plugged in and attempting to start. Can anyone help me solve my issue (hopefully minor).

It is possible the motor is wired for 240 volts. Take a photo of the motor nameplate and remove the motor cover and take a photo of the wiring inside. Post both of those photos here so we can see what you have.

If you ran #12 wire and put a 20 amp receptacle, you should probably have a 20 amp breaker to prevent tripping on start up.

You also need to be careful which type double breaker you use. With the breaker removed from the electrical panel , look at the connector that connects to the power bars inside the electrical panel. There should be two connectors and not just one. If only one, you have two 120 volt breakers in one package. You need two breakers with two of these connectors to get 240 volts and the two levers that operate the breaker need to be tied together so they both turn on and off together. Find a 20 amp circuit breaker like this any you will be in business.

I'm attempting to become a contributor so I can send pic but the link says no available subscriptions or something of that nature. Anyone know how I go about that?

Motor & wiring34552034552734552634552534552434552334552234 5521 The top blue 15amp BREAKER is connected to my 20amp outlet installed which matches the plug, plug is 15amp and breaker has 2 15amp switches or poles I think. wiring is prob incorrect. if I can wire using 230 V GREAT BUT IF NOT ENOUGH POWER I'LL SETTLE FOR LOW VOLTAGE CAUSE I WOULD NEED TO GET BIGGER WIRE IM ASSUMING. TIA FOR ANY FEEDBACK I CAN GET.

You should remove the tape from the wire nuts in the motor wiring. When you do, I'm certain that you will find the motor is wired for 240 operation, which means your 120 supply will not run the motor. As I see the wiring in the first photo, the brown motor lead is connected to the white wire and the red wire is capped off. This corresponds to the 240 wiring shown on the motor diagram. You will need to get an electrician to help you wire a 240 outlet in your shop for your saw, Or rewire the motor for 120 volt operation. If you are not familiar with how to do this, please get an electrician so you don't damage the motor.
