Corel Question

I'm having an interesting problem in Corel I haven't been able to resolve.
I'm running X7, 64bit Win 10 computer. Just recently I have been having
RGB/CMYK issues. I do a bit of 6 tile murals so I power clip a bit map into
the tile frames. For whatever reason a couple of my older files are reading
CMYK (using the eye dropper tool), when I extract them they read RGB,
then when I power clip them back in the frame the turn to CMYK?!! Help!
