I've been reading, wandering out on the big 3Ws about Lasers.
Found a page on the ULS site that was pitching their software for "easily" converting photos to laser engraveable images.
Has anyone tried it out and opinions? I expect it is expensive, didn't find price and I didn't try as I don't have laser yet.....
Linky if interested.

John,

Last I've heard price for 1 Touch is $250.00

Btw, in latest engravers journal Mike Clark wrote an article on preparing an image for lasering. You may want to read it how he does it.

I have 1-Touch, but I primarily just execute essentially the Gold method (which has been described in these forums) using Corel tools because I can optimize all parameters for the specific image. About the only thing I prefer 1-Touch for is when engraving photos on black marble or anodized aluminum. Both support high resolution LPI engravings. The slightly better dithering algorithm in 1-Touch produces a slightly better engraved image than one created when using the dithering algorithms in Corel in my opinion for these substrates.
